Which picture size should I save?
A:
1. If a picture of the same size as your screen is available, you should save this one of course.
2. If not, then choose the next larger one and resize it (reduce).
3. You can choose the next smaller one and enlarge it, but the quality will be inferior.

To set-up a picture as your desktop background:

Apply. That's it!
Q:
How to reduce the size of an image?
A:
To resize a picture you need a photo editor or an image editor.
When you resize a picture (some call it resample), you can choose the new width and the new height of the resized picture (in pixels).
To avoid distortion, most graphical software tools allow you to check a box named "preserve aspect ratio" or something similar.
When you check this box, you choose only the new width and the corresponding height will be calculated automaticaly.
(or vice-versa)
At the digital photo software guide you will find a page dealing with
photo resizing and
jpeg resizing as well as an
overview of different photo editors.
Q:
Where is the resize function in your graphical software?
A:
With most graphical software tools the resize function is under the menu
Image,
sub-menu
Resize.
Q:
Is my browser showing the wallpapers at 1/1 scale ?
A:
Unfortunately, many browsers are rescaling images behind your back and do not show the images at 1/1 scale as they should. They may do this for various reasons. We have a test image and more details at the page
image scaling .
